Rapier and Parrying Dagger
- Dated: beginning of the 17th Century
- Blade: probably Solingen.
- Material and Technique: flattened blade, hollow grinding, impact brand, smashed inscription; vessel Silver, cast chased, and partly broken, handle silver wire winding.
- Measurement: total length 118cm; blade 104.5cm; weight 1.400g
The rapier comes in a set together with a dagger and scabbard. The royal ceremonial weapons set bears on the hilt of the rapier arms and the initials of Wolf Ernst von Wolff Ramsdorf, Elector of Saxony equerry and Marshal 1588-1611.
